New Hope is led by its Senior (teaching) Pastor and is governed by its elders. Each of the elders is a man that has met strict biblical standards as to a godly life style and commitment to the Lord Jesus.

Each of the various ministries is led by one or more individuals who have indicated a calling and demonstrated a passion for the particular work that they do in or for the church.

Pastor of Family Life - Bobby Stepp

Pastor Bobby studied at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. In addition to his responsibilities as Pastor of Family Life he serves as chairman of the elders. He and Pastor Terry were the founding Pastors of New Hope on February 21, 1993.

 

 

Teaching Pastor - Terry Keaton

Pastor Terry studied at Beckley College, Beckley, West Virginia and Tri-State Bible College in South Point, Ohio. He pastored three American Baptist churches and did Southern Baptist church planting in West Virginia. Pastor Terry was an elder at Fellowship Bible Church in Winchester, at the time that he and Pastor Bobby established New Hope.

 

Pastor of Evangelism - Kent Watson

Kent has served on the staff of Prison Fellowship with Chuck Colson and Evantell, an international evangelistic ministry, with Larry Moyer. He currently has active jail/prison visitation and nursing home ministries.

 

Pastor of Student Ministries - Lee Montgomery

Pastor Lee graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He oversees all of the student ministries at New Hope and has been instrumental in forging an alliance with other youth pastors in the area to do cooperative youth and community work.
